mothering boys
So I'm driving down V Highway after just leaving my sister's and I nearly run over this box turtle in the middle of the road. Now if you only have girls; the story would end here. However, I have boys. So I pull the car over on the very closest safe spot available and begin walking down the road. The turtle is now on the overpass, so there is no place to walk but in the middle of the highway. I run up to the turtle, grab him/her and turn around to run back to the car. Isaac meets me where I instructed him to stay and says, "Don't you feel young again?" I'm not sure what that meant, but I thought it was adorable. Then we come home and proceed to make a habitat for said turtle. Next is looking up what to feed such a creature. Did I mention I had to relinquish one of my storage totes for the little guy? Yes, mothering boys is an adventure in itself. But it seems as though every day they find a new adventure that tops the days before. I wonder what is in store for tomorrow?

LOL!
That is so Miguel, he will stop the car to save a turtle. Not for kids but for himself.
I just roll my eyes.
Your boys are too cute.
Yeah, and now they have made a habitat out of the shed and are calling the turtle a "free range turtle" hippies.
Have they named it?
turtle has gone missing from his "cage" in the shed. Good for him!
haha sounds like you have a rebellious turtle
yeah. The turtle and the frog rebelled. I'm so happy for them. I would have let them go in a few days so they could surivie the fall and winter. But the boys do not need to know that. Besides, I didn't have to this time. Honestly. They ran away on thier own!
