the old grey mare she 'aint what she used to be

So along with the eternal "battle of the buldge" I also am fighting a new war.

I went to a Mary Kay party last week for a facial. They turned up the lights and broke out the magnifying make up mirrors. I was horrified to discover.............
crow's feet. I knew I was oily. I knew I broke out. But the lines, they were a shock. I came home crying.

Then I caught the flu. The boys had it earlier in the week so it was no real surprise that I got it too. But they were completely recovered within a day. Not me. It took three days before I felt like I was 100% again.

So that's it. I'm not as young as I once was. So along with having to watch what I eat and excercise more, I now spend a lot more on my beauty regimin that I used to. I had to start coloring my hair a while ago, and now I have got to be more careful around the flu. I honestly thought I may have to go to the hospital. So I've come to a sad conclusion that the old grey mare she 'aint what she used to be. Sigh.

All I see is a beautiful woman; one more beautiful than I married 13 years ago.

I have 'em too so I totally get it. But, just try to remember that you are an amazing, beautiful woman and that this is just a natural part of getting older. It happens to all of us honey.

My skin has gotten so unbelievably dry and sensitive all of a sudden that my pants now rub my belly so badly that I get blisters. Does that make you feel any better?

At least you don't have that. ;)
