Fostering

We've been struggling with having more children. It's no secret. Birthing the two we have was nothing less than a miracle. But any more would be impossible. So we've tried to adopt overseas to no avail. We've tried to adopt via the foster care system to no avail. So now we're going to try our hand at foster parenting. I spoke with the social worker this morning and she is sending out the beginning paperwork. Then it's a walk through our home and then nine weeks of classes. The idea is to possibly adopt an older child through the foster care system. But we'll see what God has to say about that. In the meantime; we can give a stable home to a child who desperately needs one. And I'm all kinds of excited about that. We have, for the sake of our own children; opted to keep the age three years younger than Isaac. You never know what kind of background they are coming from; and we want to insure the safety of our own kids first. So here we go. I'll keep you posted.
