WORK!

There was this little job I was interested in. Nothing big. Less than 10 hours a week as a home school PE teacher at a local YMCA. I thought it sounded perfect. I could take the boys with me. They would get a few PE credits. I'd get a tiny little check every week. It would get me out of the house. Sounds good, right? Not so much with the boys. I got out of the shower after having spoken to Steve about it (who was all for it by the way) And I found the following note under my door:
"Mom, job's are so overrated yo know that we are happy the way we are It is like saiad dressing, Don't mess with a good thing.
-your loving sons

-Steven
and
-Isaac

Then a second note on my dresser
"Will you come to a mother child meeting @ 11:3o SHARP my room. Steven Don't be late."

So I attended the meeting where I tried not to laugh, and even sympathized where they were coming from. I also assured them IF I were to get the job, it would be great, and then proceeded to make them FULLY aware that this was not their decision. Their father and I had discussed it and come to the decision that this was okay. It wasn't up for a vote. We are the parents and we will decide what's best.

Cute. But it didn't go over the way they (and by they I really mean my oldest, Steven) had planned.

I still haven't heard from the athletic director about the job.

Thanks guys. The coolest part is a little paycheck. Do you know I've not earned enough credits to get social security when I become of age???? Too funny. I wonder how many credits I would get for a 10 hour/week job............ 1/4?? he he he he
