the risk of love

Love is a risk. We've all heard the saying, "It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all." Well, we are smack dab in the middle of a huge gamble with baby Anthony. We found out yesterday that there is a family member in California who is interested in adopting him. I don't know anything about this person. It may be a great fit for him. I do wonder where they have been for the past 10 months and why they haven't adopted his siblings who are up for adoption in the state of California. But I don't have a lot of information in order to make any judgements.

All I really know is this: We are in love with Anthony and are in danger of losing him. It's really no different than it was yesterday. Yesterday we weren't guaranteed he would be ours any more than we are today. All this really means is that we are going to have to wait three more months to find out if Baby Anthony will be a part of our family or not.

It's a risk we're willing to take.

Aww, honey. I will be praying for you. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

My immediate reaction too is where have they been all these months?

thank you ladies. It's been a rough weekend. It will work out. One way or the other, it will work out the way God wants it to. But that isn't always good for the heart is it? Love you all.
